Drawing on his extensive development portfolio and proven project management experience over the prior 30-plus years, Dana Severy founded Severy Realty Group in 2002. Since that time, the firm has achieved particular recognition for its value-added services in helping clients achieve significant planning and entitlement successes in highly politicized environments such as California, Montanta and Vermont. Its day-to-day project management services help assure efficient utilization of client resources and effective execution of the project business plan through the entire development cycle.
Prior to the formation of Severy Realty Group, Dana’s planning, entitlement, and project management skills were honed through his affiliations with several prominent firms including resort developer and operator, Intrawest; the Tejon Ranch Company; the Walt Disney Company’s theme park development group, Walt Disney Imagineering; and the distinguished West Coast commercial developer, Kilroy Industries. The aggregate value of this diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, retail, and resort projects of lasting value and quality totals almost $2 billion. It is perhaps worth noting here that given his experience over the years with a variety of real estate asset classes Dana brings a seasoned familiarity with a wide range of construction types and building systems, which provides added perspective with respect to proactively evaluating development strategies and value engineering options.
Dana’s educational background includes a MBA with a major in economics and real estate finance from UCLA. His undergraduate degree in architecture was awarded by the University of California at Berkeley.
