Rick Fogg is the founding partner of Chronicle Family Offices. He helps families design purposeful programs to navigate their financial lives. He marries a technical background in law, tax, and business with a deep interest in people, families, and uncovering the answers to life’s most important questions. Rick’s primary role is helping families through major transitions, especially those between generations. He does this as counselor, advisor, and sometimes as a trustee or board member.
Rick began his career at the Santa Barbara law firm of Mullen & Henzell L.L.P., where he represented families, family owned business enterprises, and family owned real estate companies. During this time he gained exposure to real estate, finance, business, tax, estate planning, and conflict resolution. Rick then formed his own practice and took on the role of general counsel for family owned business enterprises. As his expertise and reputation expanded, Rick gained additional fiduciary responsibilities for families and their businesses. He is honored that most of these families continue to rely on his advice and counsel at Chronicle.
